Ergonomics and Anthropometry Part 1

1. Compare the two types of setup and state reasons why one of the setup is preferred.

The two setups are totally different.I preferred the second setup. The first set up was messy, unorganized, uncomfortable and cramped up. Whilst the second setup was totally different, the direct opposite.

2. What are the area of considerations when designing a conducive and comfortable workplace?
-The amount of space
-Comfort
-Lighting
-Freedom of movement
-Height and depth

3. State the reasons why these considerations are important.

These considerations are important for the person working to have a condusive working place. And also, it will enhance a person's motivation and productiveness.

  • State ONE way that the CAI report is recommending to make our public housing more elderly-friendly
  • State TWO ways on how we can ensure that the quality of elderly care here in Singapore is affordable
  • After reading the CAI report, what do you are the THREE things that you can do, as an SST student, to help overcome these elderly challenges

1. To encourage the elderly not to be left out of the society, have more elderly friendly houses, have more elderly friendly places liek shopping malls and have more opportunities for the elders to live to their fullest.

2.Have people design more elderly friendly for places like homes and shopping malls to let them have independence.

3.Have more money in a Medisave account, have some social workers check on some elderly and help them frequently.

4. Have more CIP programs which involves helping elderly, helping them financially through some donation drives and helping any elderly whenever we can or when we see them.

Personal Reflection (NEwater visit)

1. What are the 3 key takeaways from today’s visit?

-More knowledge of Newater

-Knowing how Singapore will overcome the lack of water after the imported water is cut off

-I understand about the 4 national taps of Singapore

2. Name 2 concepts that you have learnt today during the visit.

-I learnt about the steps the water goes through before turning into Newater ( Ultra Filtration, Reverse Osmosis and lastly UVA disinfection.

-I learnt about the four Singapore national taps(New water, Desalination, Imported water, Local catchment water

3. What is the 1 interesting thing that you have learnt today?

-I found most interesting was how the water was treated going through all those processes.

4. What are the things that you can do to help with water conservation in Singapore?

-I think that we can help by : Using water to wash rice or vegetables to water the plants, Use a mug for brushing teeth and turn off water when applying soap.

orthographics means line is perpendicular to the view plane,while oblique means line is not exactly perpendicular to the view plane.
